Soften to Expand...Surrender is the new Hustle

Hard Truths

Hard truth: If someone tells you to just power through it, put your big girl panties on and get over it or says “you’re strong, you can handle it,” there is only one thing for you to do: Run.
This is old programming, an outdated paradigm that has kept your nervous system in fight or flight for way too long. It’s time to rewire your brain into a new approach…

Soften to expand and let surrender to be your new hustle.

Surrender into Purpose

Work over time to let go, surrender into purpose and allow for expansion - mind, body and soul expansion. When we think of expanding the default tends to be push, create, and bring it all to life. Hustle is used synonymously with the grind, pushing ourselves over the edge to just get a little more done. What if we flipped the switch and let surrender be the new hustle? What if we knew that by letting go, more expansion than we could imagine would be possible?

Powering through is how our minds and bodies fall out of alignment and we find ourselves in disease, or in other words, sick. Getting over it doesn’t give us the space to go through it. There is a generational discrepancy with these thought processes and I’m here to tell you the old way of thinking isn’t serving you, your mind, your body or your soul. If you’re living in his old mindset, it’s time for a system upgrade. It’s time to rewire your brain and soften. It’s time to leave the tables where you feel anxious and find the space where you can surrender and feel safe

This is not an overnight job and I, myself, struggle with this concept almost daily. Yep me, the 2X business owner, badass entrepreneur. Tough is what they say, but I’d say resilient.  Strong? Yes, but not indestructible and very much still human. I have finally come to realize I can’t do it all. And when I hear any of those sayings above, it’s my cue to step into a new space. One that feels safe, one that doesn’t require me to be strong or just get over it. I did that for so many years and absolutely fried my nervous system.

It takes a lot to leave, but it is taking more out of you to stay.

I’ve made a commitment - of which has to be official since I posed it on Instagram. I am ready to receive the support I deserve to elevate my vision and be in my purpose. I can’t do it alone and in fact, we aren’t meant to do any of this alone anyway. That’s why community is so important. And that’s why Soul Dive exists. To be the place where you can come as you are and simply be. There’s no fronting, no expectations and absolutely no “just get over it” here. None.

The mat is a beautiful place to practice this very concept. Soften, allow your yoga journey to be half capacity, sometimes even less. You don’t get more peace by beating yourself up on the mat. You get more peace through surrender, the art of letting go and softening. Let surrender be your new hustle. Work double time at letting go and allowing. You’ll naturally soften. And my bet is you’ll feel a heck of a lot more peace and ease as you softly surrender into your purpose.

We’ll explore this on the mat this Saturday! Class has been filling up! Book your spot early and I can’t wait to see you on the mat!

Big Love,

Alex
